As an iOS developer one of the best criteria to choose which of the existing iphone app review sites to contact to promote an app would be to know their monthly pageviews (number of pages viewed by the users each month). Since this data is not public, it’s common practice to use Alexa Rankings (even if Alexa results should be analysed with caution because of the methodology). Continue reading

“App store affiliate”: what does it mean?
To understand what “App Store affiliate” means, you first need to know about affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is something I had heard of many times, but always thinking it was for the others. A few weeks ago, I decided to spend a few minutes on Wikipedia to feel a little less stupid and then I understood after a few google searches that I could implement the concept for my website ReviewFordev and all of my apps.

As an iOS developer I developed and marketed 2 apps in the education category. I found it hard to find an updated list of the review sites to contact in order to get a review. I had to try many keywords (“list of kid apps review sites ” or “best educational kids apps”) in order to update my own database each time . One of the best criteria to choose which websites to contact is to get an idea about their pageviews (number of pages viewed by the users each day). Since this data is not public, it’s common to use Alexa Rankings (even if Alexa result should be analysed with caution). Continue reading
It just took 3 days to develop this new feature: I just decided to add a new iPhone video app review service on ReviewForDev. It’s actually an iOS video app review, but using “iPhone video app review” seems to be better optimised for SEO according to adwords, lol.
One of the targets of this new program is to answer the developer’s questions “how is my app perceived within the 5 first minutes of use, what happens, what are the user’s immediate comments ?”. These 5 first minutes are of utmost importance since they’ll condition whether the app will be used again or it will just add up to the pile of useless apps that were just opened once… Thanks to our great database of reviewers, we aim at supplying this infos from the exact target users requested by the developers. iPhone developer tools: you have no idea about the wonders already existing !
With all the tutorials about iPhone/iPad app creation existing on the web, it seems anyone who’s ready to learn about programming now has the possibility to create an app for iPhone or iPad. With this new business created for Mr Anybody by Apple many iPhone developer tools and side services also appeared, some of which are absolutely awesome, in particular for indie developers. For the most “indie” ones, it’s very hard to keep track of all existing tools because they don’t have friends or colleagues to talk to about this.
My target in this post is to list all the iPad and iPhone developer tools and third party services I use or that I’ve heard about positively. Continue reading
This blog will be for us an opportunity to let you know about how things are going from within ReviewForDev, and also supply info to all new indie developers.
We also would like to see if it could help for SEO regarding ReviewForDev.com…. so we’ll let you know within a few months if it was worth.
Welcome with us !
